Let There Be Light is a limited edition advent calendar for the knitter or crocheter who enjoys the quiet pleasure of unwrapping something beautiful, one day at a time.
Included will be a hand-cast eco resin candle holder, 24 mini skeins (Studio Sock base, 20g/85m each - 75% SW Merino and 25% Nylon) and 24 candles with one simple invitation:
Unwrap your yarn, light the candle, pick up your needles or hook, and take one hour - just for you as you slowly burn the candle down.
One hour for you - not for anyone else, not for the never ending to do list which December seems to bring. This is your quiet resistance to that.
As December deepens, so does the story the colours tell. We begin in near darkness of a midwinter night and then gradually light will start to return. Day by day the palette shifts and brightens, moving through the colour spectrum. By Christmas Eve, you'll have 24 skeins that tell the story of light coming back into the world.
A small, repeated act of choosing yourself, stitch by stitch, candle by candle, all the way up to Christmas.
